People with a lived experience leading change

Overview

Authentic participation by, and collaboration with, people with a lived experience, both service consumers and their families or carers, enriches our work in planning and delivering mental health, suicide prevention and alcohol and other drug treatment services. This participation and collaboration needs to inform assessing needs, planning for the future, commissioning, co-designing and delivering services, and evaluating the outcomes experienced by those who use the services. Chapter one of Planning for Wellbeing is focused on people with a lived experience leading change.
